5 Tips on Choosing the Right CBD Product

You’ve probably been hearing a lot about CBD lately. It seems like everyone is turning to the herbal cannabinoid as a daily supplement which may have you wondering how to choose the right CBD product.

5 Tips on Choosing the Right CBD Product

The CBD industry is big and growing by leaps and bounds every day. You might feel a bit overwhelmed with the choices. There are oils, tinctures, topicals, edibles, vapes, energy drinks, and even pet products for your beloved furry friend. How do you choose the right CBD product? There are five key differentiators to consider when buying CBD.

Organic, Non-GMO CBD

Hemp is a bioremediator which means that it pulls toxins, radiation, and heavy metals out of the soil. In fact, in many parts of the world hemp is grown to clean the soil prior to planting other crops. However, the cannabis plant’s ability to absorb such toxins makes it extremely important that you buy only clean CBD. The CBD should be extracted from hemp that is cultivated organically with no pesticides or other harmful chemicals that can be absorbed from the plant and end up in the extracted cannabinoid.

The long-term effects of genetically modified seeds are unknown.  The science behind such lab creations is simply lacking and concerns many consumers. You should avoid CBD that is derived from genetically modified hemp.

Also Organics uses USDA-certified organic hemp. This means a government inspector visits our hemp fields in Oregon to inspect our growing and processing facilities and make sure that they meet the USDA standards for organic certification.

At Also Organics our products meet the following criteria:
  • Dye-free
  • Paraben-free
  • Most are Gluten-free
  • Fragrance-free
  • Derived from USDA organic hemp grown in the USA
  • Non-GMO
  • Most are Kosher-certified

Processing Method

Methods of cannabis extraction vary but many brands rely on solvents such as butane, petroleum, or alcohol to pull the cannabinoids from the hemp plant fibers. However, such methods leave behind solvent residues which might be harmful to your health. Some brands also use CO2 extraction. At Also Organics, we set out to create products we give to our own families so we settled on the cleanest extraction method possible. In our extraction process, we use only distilled water and a vibrating ultrasonic probe that we immerse in the liquid. The probe creates high and low pressure which forces the molecules to break down and pulls the cannabinoids from the plant fibers.

Packaging of CBD Products

You might overlook the importance of packaging when it comes to picking your CBD products. However, the earth is being inundated by plastics and non-biodegradable materials which are altering the planet’s ecosystem and leading to climate change. At Also Organics, we take packing seriously. Our products are packaged in glass and we use post consumer recycled paper when possible. We use alternatives to plastics so we can do our part to reduce our impact on the Earth.

Transparency with CBD Brands

Not every CBD brand is transparent. Many abstain from third party laboratory testing and leave you guessing what their products actually contain. At Also Organics, our products are put through third-party laboratory testing and we post our Certificate of Analysis  lab results online. We believe in complete transparency because we know that you will be using our CBD products for those you care about most.

You do not need to pick the biggest brand with the largest product line. All you need to do is find the best brand that sells the types of products that you need. We believe in offering CBD products for the whole family. We offer a 300 mg CBD full spectrum CBD tincture for kids and a 200 mg CBD tincture for pets. In addition, most of our products are even certified kosher.

When learning how to choose the right CBD product, remember the things that matter the most such as organic hemp, clean processing, simple sustainable packaging, transparency, and diversity.  If you have any questions about our products at Also Organics, please contact us
